With my movie trailer being a Horror/Thriller I need to make it look scary and dangerous on my trailer else people won't see the point in watching it because the genre won't link to the location and the time of day that the trailer is recorded.
I am thinking that I am going to film most of my movie trailer in the dark using artificial lighting so that the audience will be able to see what is going on. This will then show the genre of the movie easier but also make it more scary. Whereas if I filmed the trailer in the daylight the location wouldn't look scary but also people would take it as a joke and not seriously. Therefore my decision is that I will film it in the dark with artificial lightning if needed. This will make it look scary and dangerous but also tell the genre of the movie without actually telling the audience. This darkness will then relate to the blood and deaths that will occur but also it is conventional as most other horror/thriller movie's are mainly set in the dark to portray the genre of it.
