These are the font ideas that I have collected for my DVD Cover and my poster. I am going to do a questionnaire to see what people think and see which one is the best. I will not just go on the target audience's judgement alone I will also go with what I feel is the right font choice as well. Bearing in mind that this isn't going to be the colour of the title that I am going to use I am going to have my title be in the colours red so that it will portray blood. Below are some comments that I found from my target audience. I will ask them to rate that top two and their worst one;
Chris
Out of these fonts my favourite is number 7, this is because you can clearly see all the letters and it is quite a striking font that I think will look good for this type of genre. Followed by number 1 and 3 again because these stand out and would suit the genre. My least favourite is number 5 simply because you cant see all of the lettering in the font which you dont want for the title of a film.
Liam Pryor
I like number 10 because it looks blood is dripping from the title and this would be because of a knife this then relates to the title "Slasher". I don't 1 and 12 because I thought that they were boring and to simple for a horror film.
Miss Walton
I like number 10 because it give the effect of blood which relates to the genre very well but dont like number 6 and 12 because i don't think either are as fitting to the genre as the others.
Harry
I like number 8 because i think that it is very professional and i think that it fits in with the genre well. I dont like numbers 12 and 14 because they don't fancy my taste in the other fonts that are there.
Jack Hales
I like 12 because it is has a dripping blood effect but i dislike 1+2 because they are two plain and will look unprofessional
Jess Smith
I like number 10 because it has sharp edges and i like the shadow which is coming sown from the lettering I don't like 1+2 as they are plain, you need something which will attract people and it will look good and professional at the same time.
Ben
I like number 7 because it is unique and professional but I dont like number 11 because it doesn't look like a horror movie.
Leanne
I like number 10 it looks very good and professional. The two worst are 14 and 5 because they are not clear and don't look scary which wouldn't fit the genre of the movie
Amy
I like number 7 as it is clear yet effective and the "L" and the "R" look likes knives which is a very good symbolism of the film. I don't like 4 and 9 as they are hard and to busy which is making it very hard to read.
Amy Pass
I like number 10 as it relates back to the film and what it is about and makes it look very effective with the blood dripping. I don't like 3 and 9 as the fonts aren't very clear and very busy so it makes it hard to read them.
Mr Taylor
I like 8 and 13 and I don't like 7 and 14. I think that 8 and 13 work well because they will fit very well with the genre on the poster and DVD cover. On 13 it looks like blood has been splatted on the title which gives it a good effect.
