Final Poster

This is my final Poster that I have created. I think that it is very effective and conventional in the manner that it has followed the dark colours, red for blood, and the font of the text at the bottom of the poster. I have used inspiration from both night mare on elm street poster and also the paranormal activity poster. On the night mare on elm street poster I have taken to the effect of the faded images as I have faded my main image to allow the blood of the background to come through to make the poster more mysterious and horror looking. From the paranormal poster I liked the idea of the dark colour scheme so I have transferred this to my own poster. I also think that dark colours work better because it shows the genre of the magazine in just the colours without even looking at the picture. I have taken a picture of my main character's back holding a massive kitchen knife as I feel that it has the horror effect but also people will want to know more about the storyline and therefore come and watch the movie. I have placed the picture in the middle of the poster as it is the main image and focus of the movie. I located the picture in the woods where I shot my trailer so that the poster and the trailer link together in the sense that the same location is used, the same colours and also the same person and props.
