Evaluation Plan

There are 4 questions that I will be completing in my evaluation and I thought that it would be a good idea to plan what I am going to write in my evaluation so that I can make few errors as possible to get the highest marks.

The four questions that I will be writing about is:

1. In what ways does your media product use, develop, or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

2. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?

4. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluative stages?

In question 1: I will speak about conventions that i have followed and then the unconventional things I have done throughout my three products. I will also speak my target audience and who my products are for. I will also say about why I did what I did and what I took inspirations from and how I had developed the conventions that are already on the market. I will include pictures to back up my evidence. Finally, I will speak about Three theories one being audience theory and then two being narrative theory.

In question 2: I will speak about intertextuality and what links between my three products in my digi pack. I will compare and link the poster and the magazine cover and highlight what I have linked between them both and why and also why this fits in with the genre that I have chosen.

In question 3: I will speak about the feedback that I have used and that I thought was constructive and why it helped me when I was developing my products. I will say that I thought it was good because the feedback I collected was from the target audience that are the same age as my target audience for my products. I will put pictures on from my poster that I developed from the feedback that I received. This will show the process that I went through to get the end product.

In question 4: I will talk through each stage individually and which products i used to help me with that stage and also why i used the programmes that I did. I will also explain how I got some effects on my poster to show that I know what I was trying to create.

Commentary

Commentary
-I have done many things in my trailer to follow tradition of the other horror movie trailers that are on the market.
-The green screen creates a professional feel to the beginning of the trailer.
- The distribution and production logos are also at the beginning to make a professional feel also.
- The fading in and out creates tension to the trailer and also prolongs the images.
- I have used the first shot as the girls packing for the camping trip to open the trailer for example opening the scene.
-The first couple of shots also show the location of the trailer.
-The first few shots show the girls having a good time walking together and so on
- It all goes wrong when Leanne goes and walks towards the woods
-When this is happening the tempo on the music gets faster to build up the tension.
- The zoom on Leanne also creates tension and makes the audience intrigued on what is going to happen.
-The woods creates a horror feel to the movie which links in the genre of the trailer
- This links with someone walking through the woods alone creating the impression of loneliness
- The lyrics to the song contrast the movie as they say you are my angel.
- The quick cut shots build up tension and make the audience interested and they want to watch more
-This also links in with the speed of the movie which gives the trailer some depth
- The shot of the actor walking in the bushes hiding shows he is following Leanne while she gets some twigs
-The actor also has a knife in his hand which indicates to the viewers he has an intention to kill.
- The still shot of Leannes face shows that she is terrified and she has noticed the killer.
- The repeat of the black and white zoom in shot shows that it was never a good idea Leanne walking off down the woods to start with and that something has gone wrong.
- The fast shots of the girls having fun are meant to resemble a flash back to how the day started out.
-The bloody knife shows that someone has been killed but we don’t know who.
-The girls shouting means that have heard screams from Leanne and know that something is wrong
